Universal Pictures has officially announced that the biopic on the brains behind Apple, Steve Jobs, will be ready for release in Fall 2015. According to the reports, the film is being directed by Danny Boyle, who also directed the Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire and 128 Hours. The script is being developed by Aaron Sorkin, who was the man behind The Social Network's storyline.

The movie, Jobs, starts from 2001 wherein Steve Jobs is reportedly giving an introduction to the all new iPod at a town hall meeting. Then it flashes back to 1974 when Jobs drops out of college. The rest of the movie depicts his journey from rags to riches, from being a college dropout to a multimillionaire genius. Reportedly, Jobs stars Michael Fassbender as the man himself, and Seth Rogen as Apple's co-founder, Steve Wozniak. The movie also portrays Kate Winslet as Macintosh's former marketing head Joanna Hoffman. Other stars include Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, from Macintosh development team and Katherine Waterson as Chrisann Brennan, Job's ex-girlfriend.

The movie was originally with Sony before Universal decided to pick it up in November last year. The making of the movie came into the news when the conversation between the scriptwriter Sorkin, producer Scott Rudin, and Sony's co-chairman Amy Pascal got hacked and was leaked online.

The biopic is being co-produced by Scott Rudin, Christian Colson, Guymon Casady, and Mark Gordon. It is scheduled to be released on Oct 9 this year, with three other movies-Kidnap starring Halle Berry, Warner Bros. Vacation reboot, and The Finest Hours starring Chris Pine-slated to be premiered on the same day.
