Jupiter Ascending is a space opera movie starring Channing Tatum (Caine Wise), a hybrid extraterrestrial wolf born to serve and protect the royalty Mila Kunis (Jupiter Jones) who does not know that she is a descendant of a royal family in Jupiter. She is bound to rule a great empire of aliens but she is hunted by a group of villains under the leadership of Eddie Redmayne (Balem Abrasax), the main antagonist of the movie who wants to reign the throne and bring Jupiter in his hands.

It is written and directed by The Wachowskis, produced by Grant Hill under Warner Bros. Pictures. After the movie was introduced at the Sundance Film Festival, viewers can't stop criticizing it. According to some movie critics, Jupiter Ascending lacked the thrill element due to the numerous delays prior to its release. It was supposedly scheduled for release last year but there were lots of special effects needed to be filmed.

There were also some negative feedback circulating, stating that the graphics and special effects grabbed the attention over the story itself. The film was released in IMAX 3D, same with 'The Seventh Son' from Universal Pictures.

The movie budget was around $176 million but apparently, it failed to capture the praise of both critics and the overall crowd in general. Also, some reviews note the lack of character development and stated that Tatum and Kunis had so much more potential than what was brought out in the film. Nevertheless, the film is expected to hit big as it gets released in countries throughout the globe.
