Castle Season 7 episode 14 airs Monday, February 9, and is entitled "Resurrection." Directed by Bill Roe from a script written by David Amann, it will follow Castle as he is called back as consultant for the NYPD in connection with a case involving the notorious Manhattan cosmetic surgeon Dr. Kelly Nieman who was previously seen in episode 9 of season six.

Nathan Fillion stars as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as his wife NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, Susan Sullivan as his mother Martha Rodgers, Molly Quinn as his daughter Alexis Castle, Penny Johnson Jerald as NYPD Captain Victoria Gates, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito, and Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan.

According to the studio's plot summary, Castle is called in to consult on the case after clues in a murder implicate his and Beckett's old nemesis, Dr. Kelly Nieman. But as the team delves deeper into the investigation, they uncover connections to notorious serial killer Jerry Tyson who was seen in Season 3 and Season 5 and who is associated with Dr. Nieman. Guest starring for the episode are Annie Wersching as Dr. Kelly Nieman, Michael Mosley as Jerry Tyson, Laura Coover as Susan Watts, Amy Rosoff as Katrina and Maya Goodwin as Laura.

"The Resurrection" is part one of a two-parter storyline that will conclude with February 16's "The Reckoning." As gathered from studio's teaser, part two will follow NYPD's 12th Precinct as it tries to match wits with the serial killing tandem of Jerry Tyson and Dr. Kelly Nieman. With the clock ticking, Castle and the team must crack the case before the killers claim their next victim.

Ratings-wise, Castle continue to remain strong and steady so much so that ABC president Paul Lee told Matt Webb Mitovich at TV Line that "It will be coming back," apparently implying a renewal for another season of the police procedural romantic comedy drama TV series. He also said: "We love Castle, we love those two [Fillion and Katic whose contracts will both expire this spring], and we want to see Castle on the air for many years to come."
