However, rumors are that the actor has decided not to extend his contract with Marvel Cinamatic Universe and his last movie as the Iron Man would be Avengers 3. Whatever is the case, it is certain that the movie won't be the same with Robert Downy Jr.'s absence from it.

Earlier in 2014 rumors surfaced over the Internet reporting that Robert Downy Jr. has confirmed that a sequel to Iron Man 4 has been planned. However, the veteran actor discarded all the rumors saying that he has no future plans of returning to any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie so far. Later he reportedly teamed up with Marvel for Captain America 3, where the superhero fans will witness a combination of Captain America and Iron Man both. However, for that viewers will have to wait till 2016.
