Gotham season 1 will be taking another break for a few weeks, but before it does, it will on Monday be airing episode 18 titled "Everyone Has A Cobblepot." According to Fox's official synopsis, the episode will have Gordon trying to get certain information about a recent controversy involving Commissioner Loeb.

Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Sarah Essen, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya, Andrew Stewart Jones as Crispus Allen, and John Doman as Carmine Falcone. Guesting for episode 18 are Nicholas D'Agosto as Harvey Dent, Peter Scolari as Commissioner Loeb, Chelsea Spack as Kristin Kringle, Michael J. Burg as Charlie Griggs, Perry Yung as Xi Lu, Colm Feore as Dr. Francis Dulmacher, Dan Ziskie as Jude, Becky Ann Baker as Marge, Nicholle Tom as Miriam Loeb, Zachary Spicer as Tom Dougherty, Jeffrey Combs as Office Manager, Dash Mihok as Detective Arnold Flass, Dashielle Eaves as Kelly, and Elliot Villar as Thomas Schmidt.

Gordon's conundrum on Monday will focus on how to get the most out of a bad situation with Commissioner Loeb (guest star Scolari). As leaked to TV Guide by Gotham leads McKenzie (who plays Gordon) and Logue (who plays Bullok), Gordon learns from Harvey Dent (guest star D'Agnosto) that all of the charges filed against dirty cop Arnold Flass (guest star Mihok) are being dropped because the corrupt police commissioner was able to produce a 'mystery witness', none other than Gordon's partner Harvey Bullock. Apparently, Loeb has used the dirt he has on Bullock to make him recant his testimony against Flass. Said Logue: "What Jim doesn't know about me is I have some skeletons in my past that Loeb is aware of. That's something Loeb likes to do with a lot of people. If certain things are brought to light that could be the end of my career. I don't want to reveal the sins of my past, and it makes it difficult for me to want to participate in doing the right thing."

So, McKenzie tells TV Guide, Gordon decides he needs to destroy Loeb's treasure trove of blackmail. But to get this done, he may need a little help from Oswald Cobblepot (Taylor) to pull it off. He said: "[Jim] knows that Oswald's effective and can get things done. He has no better option, so he uses it."

Episode 18 will also have Fish being questioned by her fellow prisoners about her allegiance after apparently joining forces with their captor Dr. Dulmacher (guest star Feore), and Bruce dealing with the aftermath of an attack close to home. Incidentally, Jada Pinkett Smith recently told Melty that the character she plays may not make it pass season 1. Said she: "Fish is all about control, but at the end of the day, she's still very vulnerable and she's still trying to figure out how to have absolutely everything that she needs and wants, which is basically to get out of there and to get back to Gotham and get her club back - if that's even possible." She continued: "[But] we'll have to see if she makes it out alive! We'll have to see if Fish even makes it, you know. She may make it and she may not."
