One of the biggest things that make Supernatural, supernatural is the concept of death. It's not a strange thing since the show is highly infamous for killing off characters aside from the occasional demon or two. So it is somewhat not a surprise to hear that Jim Beaver will be reprising his role of Bobby Singer. A report by Christian Post says that the upcoming episode will be named as 'Inside Man'. If fans would recall, Singer, who was the Winchester Brothers' confidant and father figure throughout the series, was killed off back in season 7 in the episode 'Death's Door'. He has then made several recurring appearances as a spirit until he re-appeared briefly in season 9 in the episode "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here" as a subconscious manifestation by Sam.

In the upcoming episode Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins' characters, Sam and Castiel will be calling on some help from someone in heaven, namely Bobby. Meanwhile Jensen Ackles' Dean will be facing off with Ruth Connell's Rowena as Sam and Castiel find a way to get rid of the Mark of Cain inside of Dean, even if he doesn't want to acknowledge that he needs help. The episode will also feature a desperate Metatron where it seems he is begging a heavenly being to let him live.

Currently, Jim Beaver's working on Guillermo del Toro's Crimson Peak alongside Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain will premiere by October this year according to a report by Den of Geek. Variety also reports that Beaver is working on the play Verdigris wherein he also penned the play at the Theater West in Los Angeles.
