‘Bad Girls’ Linsey Jade Berardi Dead Due to Yet Unknown Circumstances

Bad Girls' Jade Berardi died at the age of 22 on Friday, April 3. Berardi's cause of death has not been released.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Linsey 'Jade' Berardi, who appeared in Bad Girls Club Season 12," an Oxygen Media spokesperson said in a statement posted to Oxygen's site. "Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts go out to her family, friends and fans," according to US weekly.

The reality star, who was known as "Brooklyn Brat" on the show, reportedly got kicked off the show after getting into a physical altercation with a cameramen.

After initially believing the news to be a hoax, several of her co-stars have paid tribute to her on social media.

Her costars were first to comment about her death earlier this week. Jada Cacchilli tweeted on April 2: "Sad to find out @misslinseyjade life was cut so short...appreciate the ones you keep close!!" Shortly after her first tweet, Cacchilli tweeted, "Drugs ruin so many lives...," although the details surrounding Berardi's death remain unclear.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks any donations be sent to animal shelters. "Linsey was a lifetime animal lover and passionate advocate," Oxygen's statement concluded.

She is reportedly survived by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
