Another show that has been greenlighted to live another season is Zooey Deschanel's New Girl. The popular comedy series will be returning for a fifth season where it will be bringing new faces in the light of some leaving for good.

Fashion & Style quotes Fox Broadcasting Company entertainment president David Madden, "Four seasons in, New Girl continues to be one of the smartest and most relatable comedies on television. The writing is razor-sharp, the ensemble is consistently hilarious, and we couldn't be more proud of Liz Meriwether, Brett Baer, Dave Finkel and the entire New Girl team. We absolutely love this show and we're so excited to bring it back for season five."

Aside from a fifth renewal, the show will be hitting its 100th episode milestone within the year, Variety reports.

Season 5 will be starting production soon in light of Deschanel's pregnancy with her first baby with boyfriend Jacob Pechenik, whom she had been dating since the middle of 2014. Deschanel was formerly married to Death Cab for a Cutie vocalist, Ben Gibbard. The show will not be adding Deschanel's pregnancy to the show's plot.

But some things have to come to an end as one of the main cast members will not be returning to the fifth season. Damon Wayans Jr. will not be coming back to New Girl season five after four seasons in the popular comedy series as he will be working on new projects of his own. However, his character, Coach, will not be killed off but rather be written in a way that will still leave for Wayans to appear again if ever he decided to come back. On the other hand, if old faces will be leaving, new faces will be coming in for the fifth season.

Sleepy Hollow's John Cho will be joining the casts as a guy Jess will meet when she reports for Jury Duty in the season. Taran Killiam will also be guest starring in the show in the upcoming season five. Also to guest star is Anna George from Royal Pains who will be playing Hannah Simone's Cece's mother, Priyanja Parikh.
