Kate Middleton went into labor on the morning of Saturday, May 2, the palace confirms to Us Weekly in an exclusive report.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 33, was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in London at 6.00 a.m. in the morning, the same hospital where the young George was born on July 22, 2013, as well as his dad Prince William and uncle Prince Harry. Approaching his second birthday, the 20-month-old cutie will soon meet his younger sibling.

According to the Palace, the Duchess traveled by car from Kensington palace to the Lindo Wing at the hospital, accompanied by her husband, the Duke of Cambridge.

Prince William, 32, was close at hand when his wife went into labor thanks to finishing the first phase of his East Anglian Air Ambulance pilot training early, and embarking on his unpaid paternity leave ahead of schedule, on Tuesday, April 21.

Inside the Lindo Wing, Prince George's mum is being assisted by Dr. Guy Calthorpe Easton. Going into the process, the Duke and Duchess remain in the dark as to whether their second child is a boy or a girl.

The soon-to-be mother of two first announced her pregnancy last September. "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child," a statement from Kensington Palace read at the time. "The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news."

At the time of the announcement, the Palace revealed that Middleton was suffering from the same morning sickness that she dealt with while pregnant with Prince George. "As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum," the statement said. "The Duchess is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace." Thankfully she got back on her feet soon after, returning to her royal duties last October.
