While they should still be on their promised hiatus, the British pop boy band members Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne lent their voices for a scene in the forthcoming "Family Guy" episode entitled, "Run, Chris, Run." Along with this, ex-Directioner Zayn Malik tried reaching out to his former friends.

In an interview, Steve Callaghan and Richard Appel, producers of this TV animated series that feature the Griffin family's adventures, noted that there are only a few shows that can have celebrity appearances by "One Direction" and Frank Sinatra Jr. in just one episode. According to them, they enjoyed working with their guests, which made them forget the fact that they were old enough to become the fathers of the "One Direction" members.

In the particular scene, "One Direction" members are seen gathered around the campfire, along with the group's mentor, Simon Cowell and Stewie.

The "Family Guy" also featured Hollywood actor Liam Neeson during the TV series' 250th episode last year. Moreover, the said animated series will be moving to a new home, ITV2, from the BBC Three, The Guardian reported. One Direction guest appearance will be shown in the U.S. on Fox Channel in May.

Meantime, Zayn Malik has recently confirmed that he has not spoken to some of the members of "One Direction," which he used to be part of. Malik has decided to quit the band in March 2015. According to him, he has been trying to keep in touch with his former bandmates, but they appear to be avoiding him.

The former member also said that he intends to remain friends with all of them, yet he thinks that phone numbers have already been changed and calls have not come for him to attend to. He claims to have tried reaching out to some of the members but got no reply. The former band member believes that there are people who have pride issues that he thinks must be overcome over a period of time. When asked if he has already listened to their album "Made in the AM" in 2015, he criticised the single "Perfect," NME reported.
