"Rick and Morty" Season 3 release date has been delayed for months, as co-creator Dan Harmon shared in a previous interview that the new season of the Adult Swim series may come out by the end of 2016. Sadly, the year has already gone by and viewers have not seen the show release new episodes on air.

In a recent post on Twitter, the show's co-creator, Justin Roiland, responded to a question about keeping fans anxious about the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 release date enough for them to beg. Roiland teased the said user that viewers may be trolled even more if they found out that the third season may not be coming at all, reports Metro.

Roiland's statements, however, should be taken as a joke, as the show's writer, Mike McMahan, previously shared that voice work has already begun for "Rick and Morty" Season 3, according to Decider. This has been posted over a year ago and many fans keep wondering when will the third season be released on Adult Swim.

As Harmon previously explained during a podcast as per iDigitalTimes that they are still drawing "Rick and Morty" Season 3. Harmon apologized for the delay in the release of the third season and accounted the complexities associated with producing an animated series as a reason behind the delay despite speculations that he and Roiland were fighting on set.
