Hilary Duff is revealing the ups and downs of being a single parent and has quipped about why finding a romantic partner does not always come easily despite being a celebrity. Hilary Duff’s divorce has given her a lot to think about, such as co-parenting with her ex-husband, Mike Conrie, and making herself a priority as well.

Moreover, the actress-turned-singer has also opened up about possibly having more children in the future. Following Hilary Duff’s divorce, however, she says she is in a different stage of her life.

“I’ve gotten over the fact that I’m not going to have a baby that’s close in age with Luca,” the “Younger” actress said in an interview with Redbook. Despite Hilary Duff’s divorce from Comrie, a former NHL star, in 2016, she maintains a hands-on relationship with their son, Luca, who celebrates his fifth birth on Monday.

The former Disney child star has been dating music producer Matthew Koma for the past few months. This year, they spent Valentine’s Day together in Costa Rica with the couple sharing sweet photos on social media. However, after Hilary Duff’s divorce from Comrie, doing parenting duties for Luca has had its challenges.

“I’m divorced, and it sucks. Well, it did suck for a while; now it’s just normal,” she said. “But it’s true, I do get a break. I had Luca by myself for a few weeks, no help, when Mike was on the road, and when he got home I was like, ‘He’s yours! Bye!’”

According to People Magazine, despite Hilary Duff’s divorce, such circumstances do not stop her from having more children in the future, although she is not necessarily in a hurry to expand the family soon. With one child in tow, the former “Lizzie McGuire” star sometimes feels guilty of having to trim down on her acting and singing career. But then, given the circumstances of Hilary Duff’s divorce, she believes there is no better way to spend her time but with Luca.

“I have a child; it’s totally fine to not be slammed all the time. It feels really good to not be on someone else’s schedule — besides Luca’s. I’m basically his chauffeur!” she added.
