"Timeless" Season 2 confirmation has been highly awaited by fans since the heavy cliffhanger left by the original series. NBC has not given its second season a green light yet, but it seems that there are high chances for Season 2 of "Timeless" to hit production soon. That's because of the doubled demo rating that the show received from Sept. 2016 to January of this year.

A report by TVbytheNumbers revealed that NBC's hit time travel series exceeded its initial rating by 167 percent in adults and 107 in viewers. That data showed that "Timeless" reached an increase in ratings at 1.6 from 0.6. Could this convince the network give "Timeless" Season 2 a go?

NBC's head Jennifer Salke already expressed how the network admires and supports the show. Salke even confirmed that "Timeless" ranked among the 12 programs with doubled demo ratings. However, the network would still have to make some decisions regarding its shows' timeslots before they renew "Timeless" Season 2, reportedly.

Meanwhile, "Timeless" Season 2 spoilers have also made the rounds online and one of which claimed that Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) and Jiya's (Claudia Doumit) blooming relationship might be hindered by the latter's strange condition. It can be recalled that Jiya experienced an unusual hallucination following her first trip in the time machine. Due to Rufus' wounds, she was forced to act as the ship's pilot to travel back in the past.

However, Jiya's experience seems to be too difficult for her body to handle as she felt sick and ended up in the hospital. And surprisingly, when she thought everything was okay, she saw a vision of the Golden Gate Bridge from the past timeline and the present. "Timeless" Season 2 might give emphasis on this plot as hinted in a report by Entertainment Weekly. The show might also deal on how Jiya's condition will affect her romantic relationship with Rufus.

"Timeless" Season 2 spoilers also claimed that Jiya might be trapped between two timelines, which could explain why she saw the Golden Gate Bridge before it was fully completed. However, fans are advised to take this speculation with skepticism until NBC confirms the series' renewal.
