An online post has confirmed that "Batman vs Superman" actor Henry Cavill will be seen in "Mission Impossible 6." The actor will share the screen with Tom Cruise in the sixth sequel of the movie scheduled to release in July 2018.

"Mission Impossible 6" director Christopher McQuarrie's Instagram account has confirmed the news. There were rumors of Henry Cavill joining the team but the news has only been confirmed after the director's message.

"Say, @henrycavill. Had a thought. Curious if you're interested in a role in the 6th installment of Mission: Impossible. No pressure," he wrote on Instagram as quoted by CTV News.

Henry Cavill will be acting in the Cruise franchise alongside Jeremy Renner and Rebecca Ferguson. The details of the role of the actor have not yet been revealed. However, it is being speculated that Cavill will be a right-hand man to the protagonist's Ethan Hunt mission. It is believed that he won't be a negative character.

While McQuarrie confirmed the entry of Henry Cavill in the sequel, there are no confirmed reports of the return of Alec Baldwin yet. To the director's message came Cavill's response, NME mentioned.

"How can I say no to a man with such perfect hair," the actor responded. Henry Cavill also referred to the director and Cruise's earlier associations while filming Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation that involved"extreme heights, high speeds ... practical stunts, firearms and sporadic explosions."

It was recently reported that Henry Cavill unveiled his desire to become the next James Bond. There have been several speculations regarding Daniel Craig's retirement from the franchise. As a result, several actors have expressed their interest in joining the James Bond team, including the Superman star.

Henry Cavill said that though he was quite busy with Superman stuff, he "would love to" become the next James Bond. Above all, the actor has recently teased a Green Lantern Cameo in the much-awaited Justice League Film.
