Before One Direction, there was the Backstreet Boys. Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough and Nick Carter dominated the 90s and their songs are still very popular even with the new generation. Their biggest rival at the time was another five-member male group, N Sync, which Justin Timberlake was a part of.

Has the time finally come that Backstreet Boys and N Sync will join forces to create an epic performance? Unfortunately, that remains as wishful thinking for now because that is not happening yet. However, the closest thing to the two biggest boybands collaboration happened on Saturday, March 18, when N Sync member, Lance Bass, joined BSB during their Las Vegas residency show.

Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough and Nick Carter sang one of their popular songs, "Shape Of My Heart," and Lance Bass fulfilled every 90s kids' dreams by joining the Backstreet Boys on stage. The 37-year-old N Sync member was serenaded by the group as he sang his heart out with them (minus the microphone).

This is not the first time that the Backstreet Boys was joined by an N Sync member on stage. While singing the same song on their show earlier this month, AJ McLean picked Joey Fatone from the crowd to be serenaded by the group. The 40-year-old singer, dancer, and actor went with the flow and even gave Nick Carter a huge smooch.

With two of the N Sync members already participated in the Backstreet Boys Las Vegas show, many hoped that Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough and Nick Carter will collaborate with Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass. Since BSB has already collaborated with the New Kids On The Block before, fans are hopeful that this power team up will happen soon.
