'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' Digital Release Will Include Bonus Scene of Darth Vader

The prequel to "The New Hope" will be available in digital and Blu-ray version on March 24 and April 4 respectively. The home version of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will show Darth Vader and his rampage as a bonus scene.

The bonus scene will show how Darth Vader killed the most important character in "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," Director Krennic as reported by Entertainment Weekly. In the original version, scriptwriter Gary Whitta wanted to show Darth Vader merciless nature toward his own subordinate and killing them for failure. However, the script was rewritten by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy to reduce Vader's part.

In the digital version of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," Vader is shown to kill his right hand and weapons expert for Imperial Force Director Orson Krennic. In the theater version, he was presumed to be dead when the Imperial base in Scarif was destroyed by the rebel, but he did not die.

“He survived the blast and they pulled him up,” the screenwriter, Whitta, shared how Director Krennic was brought to the Star Destroyer. in the extended version of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." Later on, Darth Vader killed him for his failure to prevent schematics of Death Star to be stolen.

Director Gareth Edwards shared his experience for filming Darth Vader in "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" as reported by Comic Book. Edwards said he was kind of nervous while filming the most famous character in Star Wars, even though he knew that inside the costume was the actor Spencer Wilding or stuntman Daniel Naprous. However, when they put their helmet on the atmosphere changed as the actor became Darth Vader.
