"Criminal Minds" Season 12 cancellation news are looming online since the series was not included on the recently released list of renewed shows on CBS. As per The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered renewals for 13 scripted series, one reality series and two newsmagazines.

Some of the shows on the list include: "Hawaii Five-0," "Bull" and "MacGyver." These shows are pretty much on the same genre as "Criminal Minds" Season 12, but it looks like the network is having doubts about the show's future after this season.

The publication notes that the rest of the shows that were not included on the list like "Criminal Minds" Season 12 may have to prove its performance through ratings. There have been a lot of speculations about the show's future since Thomas Gibson was fired from the series due to an alleged altercation with one of the show's writers.

Ratings have dropped since Gibson's departure, as some viewers threatened to stop watching "Criminal Minds" Season 12 without Hotch. The show is trying to catch up, however, through its recent arc on Matthew Gray Gubler's Spencer Reid and Shemar Moore will also return for the finale, as per Variety.

Moore, who left the show on Season 11, will reportedly return as Derek Morgan on "Criminal Minds" Season 12 finale. According to the publication, Morgan will be returning to help the team capture Mr. Scratch, who is also involved with Reid's case.
