Fans of Taylor Swift have feared for weeks that she might have gone missing. But a source has revealed that there is a reason why the pop star has been away from the limelight.

The source said that the star is actually hard at work. She is currently busy writing, producing, recording and adding the finishing touches to her yet-to-be-named sixth album. In detail, the source told Hollywood Life that Taylor Swift has been spending most of her time in studios located in the three cities where she frequents: New York City, Los Angeles and Nashville.

The source explained that Taylor Swift is not hiding out on purpose, but rather has simply been concentrating on giving the "best possible music to all of her fans" around the world. Thus, her focus on making new music for her new album meant that the star hasn't found time to go out and about or update all of her social media accounts.

Additionally, the source also disclosed that the rumors of her going missing hasn't fallen on deaf ears. Taylor Swift got word of the reports, and the source said that she finds it "hilarious" and has been laughing about it.

Members of the media have noticed that the 27-year-old singer has not been in the public eye for a long period of time. The last time the paparazzi took a snap of the songstress was when she headed to Body by Simone, her favorite workout place, according to E! Online. Taylor Swift has also been absent on social media. Her last post was on February 4, but she has not been posting candid pics of herself since last year's Thanksgiving.

Normally, the singer would release new music every two years. However, Ed Sheeran has revealed that Taylor Swift might release her new music around Christmas time, which he says is a "smart time to release" as that is the season when "everyone buys records, according to the BBC News.
