'American Gods' Promos Highlight Ian McShane Mr. Wednesday, Stunning Look At Shadow, Laura Moon [PHOTO+VIDEOS]

The upcoming Starz series "American Gods" is set to follow the story of a man named Shadow Moon but there is little doubt that Ian McShane will tower over the show like a true deity. The new promos for the TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's novel shine the spotlight on Mr. Wednesday, while a gorgeous promotional photo offers a glimpse of how Shadow truly feels about his wife Laura Moon.

The "American Gods" Twitter account has posted two brief promos that focus on Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday. The first video is a moving version on the deity's own poster where he has two ravens sitting on his shoulders. The teaser describes him as a con man, a hustler and a swindler then goes on reveal that Mr. Wednesday is preparing for a battle. There is no mention of it just yet, but McShane's character is set to change things for Shadow Moon and his wife Laura in the Starz series.

The second promo actually shows Mr. Wednesday in action. Ian McShane's character describes himself as "a hustler, swindler, cheater and liar" as he tosses a coin to Shadow Moon, who calls tails. Mr. Wednesday doesn't even blink. "It's not always gonna be tails," he says and Shadow discovers that the coin indeed has gone heads.
