He is known for his skill to convert complicated layups and has played mostly at point guard. Derrick Rose, 28, stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and has a reputable career as one of the most athletic point guards in NBA. Just like any other players, he has his weaknesses in court too such as his three-point shooting as well as his jump shooting. Now, the former NBA MVP star is reportedly to join another popular team, the San Antonio Spurs.

Derrick Rose struggles with his injuries, which is one major reason why his performance is being affected. Nonetheless, fans still believe that he can still play well and Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas (Detroit Pistons) is confident that the New York Knicks guard will perfectly fit San Antonio Spurs. Recent reports say that he is suffering from another knee injury again and his team said that he won't be able to play in the next five remaining games. The NBA star suffers a torn cartilage in his left knee.

The official NBA website reports that Derrick Rose will undergo an arthroscopic surgery, which is another knee surgery. New York Knicks initially reported that he only suffered soreness and swelling but it appears that this is not the case. Coach Jeff Hornacek even said that the NBA star will just be fine and would probably be back. However, the coach sounds like he did not expect something serious with Rose's injury.

With this news, many fans wonder if Derrick Rose would still be picked up by San Antonio Spurs. According to a report, Detroit Pistons icon Isiah Thomas said during a segment on Players Only Inside the NBA that he wouldn't be surprised if Rose heads to San Antonio Spurs next season. "He's already said it's not about the money for him, it's about winning," Thomas added.

Despite Thomas' comments, many fans doubt that Derrick Rose might jump off the fence to join San Antonio Spurs given the fact that he has just suffered another knee injury. Some say that it's going to be risky to have him in Spurs. Others say that the NBA superstar might just be better off with New York Knicks.
