Anderson East said that he could not be more proud of Miranda Lambert's achievement at the Academy Of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 2. She won Female Vocalist of The Year for eight consecutive times, breaking the records that previously held by Reba McEntire.

“Couldn’t be more proud of this little lady and the amazing art she brings with her,” East expressed his pride to Lambert as reported by Us Weekly. She beat out four competitors including Carrie Underwood and other nominees Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves.

She also brought home Album of the Year Award with her sixth studio album "The Weight of These Wings" released November last year. The album represented her struggle after her four years of marriage with Blake Shelton ended in 2015. Her failed marriage with Shelton inspired the album and her fans could feel the heartbreak she felt.

Following her divorce, the 33-year-old singer was drowned in sorrow. Miranda Lambert even admitted that her assistant prepare a bag of liquor in case she broke down in tears.

Fortunately, she found a new love in East, a blues singer five years younger than her. They started dating in December 2015, five months after her divorced with Shelton was finalized. East provided a very significant contribution to  the "The Weight of These Wings," album, co-writing two songs "Getaway Driver" and "Well-Rested and providing background vocal for "Pushin' Time."

Lambert's album "The Weight of These Wings" won over Keith Urban, Maren Morris, Dierks Bentley and Florida Georgia Line for Album of the Year at the 52nd Academy Of Country Music Awards. In her acceptance speech as reported by E! News, she mentioned her fellow singer Carrie Underwood.

Miranda Lambert said that Underwood can see her feeling beneath the surface. Watch Lambert's acceptance speech as she received the Album of the Year Award at the 2017 Academy Of Country Music Awards below:
