Following after Pepsi has released their latest commercial entitled as "Live For Now Moments Anthem," the advert starring reality TV star Kendall Jenner has immediately garnered a resounding negativity from the public's opinion. It was found that within the two and a half minute soft drink ad, the supermodel can be seen in the middle of an ongoing protest, walking towards a police officer to offer a can of Pepsi. However, it turns out that Pepsi's storytelling apparently has gone wrong it was accused of being widely insensitive and too forced, especially given the current political climate.

According to E! News, as soon as the commercial was aired, it didn't take long for Twitter users to speculate and compare the frame of Kendall coming face-to-face with an officer. It can be recalled that there was once a famous, award-winning photograph taken during a Black Lives Matter protest, where the advert was allegedly taken from. That said, with a number of negative reactions obtained from the said commercial, a number of critics have now believed that Pepsi must have underestimated the recent resurgence in public protests.

Meanwhile, Huffington Post cited three common mistakes that entrepreneurs should allegedly avoid when making commercials such as that of Pepsi. They noted the importance of not being in touch with current affairs and the audience as it may sometimes appear as insensitivity for some just like what happened to Pepsi's ad. Next, by not having visuals that are aligned with the story that the commercial is trying to tell will most likely lead to misunderstanding and will not foster an effective communication. Furthermore, it was also found that given that the commercial has already missed the mark, it should be that an opportunity to reconnect with the audience should reportedly be created right away.

Ultimately, in one of the company's statements, Pepsi has explained that it was a global ad that reflects people from different walks of life coming together in a spirit of harmony. As of the press time, it was also found that Kendall Jenner allegedly went to Paris to get away but a source said that she was extremely traumatized with what happened.
