There is little doubt that Tom Hardy is a fun guy, but Harry Styles certainly did not have an enjoyable experience working with him on "Dunkirk". People believe that the One Direction singer had a horrible time on the set of the Christopher Nolan film because Hardy made things difficult for him. But is it possible that the "Peaky Blinders" Season 4 actor was simply making sure that the pop star would turn in a convincing performance for the movie? Was Styles alienated on purpose?

One Direction fans were certainly excited when it was announced that Harry Styles would have his acting debut in "Dunkirk". The film, which also stars "Peaky Blinders" Season 4 actor Cillian Murphy, would feature Styles as a young soldier. However, there were whispers that the pop star was being treated badly by Tom Hardy on the set. At one point, the "Mad Max: Fury Road" star reportedly humiliated the singer while they were working. But was Hardy doing all this to make sure Styles would act accordingly?

It is unclear whether Tom Hardy was being mean on purpose or not, but working on "Dunkirk" had a certain effect on Harry Styles. The One Direction singer has previously stated that "being the new guy" happened to be "a real challenge", as per Somerset Live. In addition to that, he enjoyed not being in his "comfort zone". However, there was no mention on how he was treated on the set of the Christopher Nolan movie.

There might be no truth in the feud between Tom Hardy and Harry Styles but fans can still expect a lot of good things in their film. Metro reports that "Dunkirk" was one of the favorites at the recent CinemaCon where footage from the movie was previewed. Judges were reportedly blown away by the action sequences and cinematography in the Christopher Nolan flick. "Dunkirk" will premiere on July 21.
