After two years of being separated, celebrity couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner finally called it quits. The two have been married for 12 years and separated in 2005. Reports say that they remained good friends and are doing things peacefully for their children.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have both coordinated with their lawyers and the latter have sent her court papers out a few days ago. The "Daredevil" actor also responded to the court papers quickly and both are seeking joint legal and physical custody of their kids. With this, the Huffington Post believes that the couple is doing their best not to follow the Brangelina-style set up.

There were speculations that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were trying to reconcile since they broke up in 2005 as they have been seen going on trips together. They also praised each other in front of the press and taking care of their kids together. However, their divorce filing has ruled out everyone's speculation that they were trying to win each other back. Additionally, the award-winning couple has reportedly dealt with everything such as dividing their properties and assets.

Also, it is said that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have taken care of spousal support. According to TMZ, the Golden Globe winner is also planning to move out of their Pacific Palisades guesthouse and will relocate to his own place. He has been living in the guesthouse since they separated in 2015 while Garner and their kids Violet, Seraphina and Samuel live in the main house.

Although there is already a plan to move out, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner still want to keep their children close to them. So, he decided to move to a place close to their family home. A source told People that the couple have always wanted to divorce and not just to separate. "They just did it the way they wanted to and did what was best for their kids. There was no catalyst, it was just time. Nothing has changed, they are and still will be putting their kids first," the source revealed.
