'Star Wars Rebels' Season 4 Trailer Teases Which Characters Will Survive In 'Rogue One' After Final Season Ends [VIDEO]

The recent Star Wars Celebration certainly had several awesome updates on the franchise's upcoming films and shows. However, in the case of "Star Wars Rebels" Season 4, the unveiling of the new trailer came with the announcement that the series will end next year. So does this mean that the animated show finally catch up with last year's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story"? The third season's promo may have offered some hints on who will survive all the way to end of the series.

The "Star Wars Rebels" Season 4 trailer was revealed at the Star Wars Celebration and was immediately uploaded on YouTube. However, it was also announced that the upcoming season would be the show's last (via The Mary Sue). Executive producer David Filoni confirmed the news, which was met with howls of dismay by the fans. Filoni was quick to point out that he understands the reaction and stated that people can still expect more from the animators in the future. "['Star Wars Rebels' Season 4] represents by no means an end to anything that we’re doing in animation," he said. But could this mean the end for some of the characters before the show reaches the "Rogue One" timeline?

There are speculations that one a few members of the Ghost crew will actually make it to the end of "Star Wars Rebels" Season 4. There is hope that Hera and Chopper will survive since both were referenced in "Rogue One", but what of Zeb, Kanan, Ezra and Sabine? Some believe that Zeb and Kanan will be some of the unfortunate victims of the series. Fans speculate that Ezra and Sabine could end up working together. Unfortunately, there are no clear indications on what will truly happen to the crew in the final season.

The "Star Wars Rebels" Season 4 air date has not yet been announced. However, fans can expect the show to return to Disney XD this fall.
