‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ Leaks And Release Date: More Sequels To Be Expected

Even before the release of "Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi", "Star Wars: Episode IX" came to the limelight with attention calling updates. The decision to make "Episode IX" as the final film of the sequel trilogy

The main disappointing update of "Star Wars: Episode IX" is that Carrie Fisher won't be a part of the movie, according to Fader. Initially, there were reports of Carrie Fisher's appearance in Episode IX. Todd Fisher, the brother of Carrie Fisher has previously commented that the footages of the actress were allowed to use in the movie by the family.

Later Kathy Kennedy, the President of Lucasfilm has confirmed that Carrie Fisher will no longer be a part of "Star Wars: Episode IX". Also commented that Todd Fisher must have been confused with the information as they haven't even scripted down the concept for "Episode IX". Carrie Fisher passed away last December at the age of 60.

According to the Variety, "Star Wars: Episode IX" is expected to release on May 23, 2019. "Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi" is all set to hit the theaters on Dec 15, 2017. Carrie Fisher will be visible for the last time in "Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi" as General Liea. Billie Lourd, the daughter of the actress is also a part of the franchise.

"Star Wars: Episode IX" will be directed by Colin Trevorrow and will be writing the screenplay along with Rian Johnson. There are several speculations happening about Carrie Fisher's character in the ninth installment of the movie. Some predict the death of her character in the sequel.

Kathy Kennedy also has given a hint on the continuation of "Star Wars" sequel trilogy in an interview which she gave to a publication. There are some plans in the minds of the makers to bring more sequels of the franchise. Initially, it was informed that "Star Wars: Episode IX" will be the final film of the sequel. But so far nothing is yet confirmed.
