"The Young and the Restless" is currently facing issues behind the scenes, as the writers are reportedly demanding for a settlement. "The Young and the Restless" spoilers reveal that Adam Newman may still be alive and his character may be returning to Genoa City with his former face back. As most fans can recall, Justin Hartley took over the role of Michael Muhney as Adam in the CBS soap opera, but the former recently announced his exit to take on the NBC drama, "This Is Us."

These events have led to the decision of killing Adam once again on "The Young and the Restless" through an explosion. However, as TVOvermind notes, Adam's body was never found following the incident, leaving the show with several options of bringing the character back in the future.

Michael Muhney is also rumored to be returning to "The Young and the Restless" in the upcoming episodes, especially with the ongoing writer's strike happening behind the scenes. In case the network fails to secure a deal with the writers, the CBS soap opera will be forced to air old episodes of Y&R in May.

Meanwhile, Soap Hub also reports on the possibility of romance brewing for Phyllis and Scott on "The Young and the Restless." According to the publication, there have been mixed reactions from fans with regards to this pairing on the show.

Some viewers think that Phyllis and Scott are better off as friends and not as lovers on "The Young and the Restless." Others, however, believe that there is tension between the two and they expect this to explode in the upcoming episodes.
