The truth about Rey's parentage is certainly one of those subjects that fans have speculated about for a long time. People have thought that the girl from Jakku might be one of the Skywalker children or the granddaughter of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now it looks like the identity of Daisy Ridley's character may have been revealed at the recent Sar Wars Celebration. Is the "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" actress actually playing Rey Kenobi?

Fans have long believed that Rey might actually be connected to the main characters from the original "Star Wars" trilogy. One of the more popular speculations has been that Daisy Ridley will be playing one of the Skywalker children, who are the offsprings of Han Solo and Leia Organa. Some also think that Daisy Ridley's character could be the secret daughter of Luke Skywalker himself. But is it possible that Rey's true name will finally be revealed to be Rey Kenobi in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi"? A picture that was reportedly taken during the Star Wars Celebration may have confirmed this very interesting detail.

Some fans have come across a photo that was taken during the Star Wars Celebration where Daisy Ridley was reportedly introduced as Rey Kenobi (via Twitter). This certainly suggests that Rey is related to Obi-Wan Kenobi, perhaps the Jedi Master's long-lost granddaughter. In addition to that, it looks like Finn is actually related to Mace Windu, who was played by Samuel L. Jackson in the "Star Wars" prequels. Will the truth finally be revealed in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi"?

The name "Rey Kenobi" was certainly thrown around quite a bit during the Star Wars Celebration. According to Collider, Josh Gad once again teased Daisy Ridley about her character's surname, at one point referring to Rey as "the Madonna of Jakku"? Hopefully, the truth will be revealed when "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" finally premieres on December 15.
