Singer Harry Styles revealed that his time with singing sensation Taylor Swift was a learning experience. The "One Direction" member, who dated the American singer and songwriter for a short duration in 2012, said that relationship was not normal.

In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine for the promotion of his self-titled solo album, the 23-year-old spoke of the famous photo of his with Swift walking in the Central Park, New York. "When I see those photos, I think relationships are hard at any age. You don't really understand how it works when you are 18 and trying to navigate all the stuff didn't make it easier," said Styles.

The young singer also stated that it feels a bit awkward, to begin with as when you are dating someone you like, it should be simple. Styles further added that it was a learning experience for sure, but at the heart of it, he just wanted it to be a normal date. According to the Mirror, when asked about the rumor if Swift's songs "Out of the Woods" and "Style" were inspired by their time together, Styles said he would be lucky if he helped make those songs.

"I mean, I don't know if they are about me or not, but the issue is, she's so good, they are everywhere and I write from my experiences, everybody does that. That's the stuff, which is hardest to say and it's what I talk the least. It is something that is about two people and I won't tell anybody everything," revealed Syles, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Harry also talked about former One Direction band member Zayn Malik, who recently said 1D isn't the kind of music he would listen to. To which Styles said that it's a shame he feels that way, but wished anyone do what they love. "If you are not enjoying something and feels like doing something else, you should do that. I am glad he is doing what he likes and good luck to him."
