Sui Ishida's "Tokyo Ghoul" is one of the best-selling manga series and its anime series adaptation captured the interests of those who like dark fantasy stories. When Viz Media Senior Director of Sales and Marketing Kevin Hamric revealed in an interview that the anime is getting another season this year, fans were thrilled with the news. However, shortly after the interview, the company immediately made it clear that Hamric was only misquoted, citing "My Hero Academia." Now, the manga's live-action film, which was announced in 2016, will soon premiere this summer in Japan and its 30 second trailer has recently been released.

The trailer for "Tokyo Ghoul" live-action movie is very close to the manga series, thanks to the film's director Kentaro Hagiwara. Everyone knows that the anime adaptation has departed from the events of the manga series, although it is still one of the highly-anticipated anime series in history. There are also several manga characters that can be seen in the trailer and apart from following the plot of its manga origin.

"Tokyo Ghoul" anime adaptation has been in hiatus since March 2015 and it has since making all fans wonder when they would see Ken Kaneki in the small screens once again. When Hamric told IcV2 that there is another season of the anime series, the news quickly circulated online. However, the celebration was short-lived as Viz Media immediately clarified with Anime News Network that Hamric meant "My Hero Academia" instead of the dark fantasy anime series.

Reports also say that the "Tokyo Ghoul" live-action film, "My Hero Academia" and "One Punch Man" are causing the delay of the release of anime series' third season. It is also said that the creators are having a hard time of getting another season because of lack of materials and plotline. Theories have it that Ken Kaneki won't be the lead character any longer but a female lead named Touka Kirishima.

Meanwhile, "Tokyo Ghoul"live-action film is expected to hit Japanese theaters on July 29. There is no information yet as to when the film should hit in the West but fans are hoping to see it on the big screen soon. Stay tuned to Celebeat for more entertainment updates.
