The film "Mad Max: Fury Road" certainly had a lot of memorable characters but there is little doubt that the Doof Warrior was the true fan favorite. The flame-throwing guitarist that led Immortan Joe's army may have been mute but he didn't need any lines to steal scenes from Tom Hardy's Max Rockatansky. But is it possible that the Doof Warrior will return to the "Fury Road" sequel? Director George Miller has confirmed that everybody's favorite guitarist will be back in "Mad Max: The Wasteland".

George Miller obviously has plans for the Doof Warrior. The "Mad Max: Fury Road" director has previously teased on how the blind guitarist ended up working for Immortan Joe and somehow got people hoping that the man will have another appearance in the sequel. Luckily, Miller has confirmed that the Doof Warrior is set for a major comeback and it looks like he will be up against Tom Hardy in "Mad Max: The Wasteland".

The "Mad Max: Fury Road" director recently spoke to Independent about the film's upcoming "Black & Chrome Edition", which is set for limited release this weekend. George Miller also offered more details on the Doof Warrior, saying, "I know who his mother was." In addition to that, the director stated that the guitarist will definitely be a part of "Mad Max: The Wasteland" with Tom Hardy. "If we get to make another movie, the Doof Warrior will be there!" Miller announced.

It might seem like the sequel is a done deal but George Miller is still uncertain as to when he will begin work on "Mad Max: The Wasteland". The director is still planning to do two other projects before coming back to the "Mad Max" films. Nevertheless, fans are satisfied to know that Tom Hardy will reprise his role as the titular character. Fans who have been missing the Doof Warrior can see him in action in the special version of "Fury Road" titled "Black & Chrome Edition", which will premiere in selected theaters on April 30, as per YouTube.
