"General Hospital" cast news has a mix of good and bad news for fans of the ABC soap opera. As Celeb Dirty Laundry reports, many fans believe that Kirsten Storms is all set to return to the series as Maxie after taking an extended break to work on her "personal issues."

Storms has been posting photos on her social media account, which was taken as a hint that the actress is done dealing with her issues and is all set to return to "General Hospital." The publication notes that Storms' character left by February, so it is possible that the actress will return in the coming weeks.

While this may be taken as good news, many viewers are distraught by the news that Jane Elliot is officially leaving "General Hospital" as Tracy Quartermaine. Speaking to TV Insider, the actress admitted that her character has left Port Charles a couple of times, but this one will be different from the others.

"She's leaving because she is determined to be a better person," she explained.

Elliot shared that she wanted to leave "General Hospital" and her career in the industry in order to focus on other things. However, the actress said that she was still open to the possibility of briefly returning to the ABC soap opera after a year or so.

"General Hospital" airs Monday to Friday on ABC.
