One month ago today, "Rick and Morty" made headlines when season 3 premiered unannounced on April Fool's Day. Most fans believe that it was an April Fool's joke but it turned to be real when Dan Harmon announced on social media that the first episode of the third season is already airing. It was, of course, a day of joy to all fans who have been dying to see the grandpa and grandson duo again on the small screens. However, it appears that fans will have to wait for a little while once again as the second episode seems to be delayed.

Earlier reports from Celebeat suggest that "Rick and Morty" creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland revealed during the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 that their dream guest star, Vin Diesel will finally be part of season 3. This is something that "The Fast and the Furious" fans should be looking forward to the next episodes. The showrunners are still tight-lipped about the air date of season 3's episode 2 but there are reports claiming that fans should expect it before autumn hits.

Den of Geek reports that the "Rick and Morty" creative team is only waiting for the animation team to wrap up its work and the remaining episodes of season 3 should be good to go. However, fans are not actually convinced with this report but are hoping to see the critically acclaimed series again after April Fool's Day. The creators also revealed that there will be a total of 14 episodes, which is greater in number than seasons 1 and 2.

Additionally, reports say that "Rick and Morty" season 3 episode titles derived from the titles of different famous films. It can be recalled that episode 1 is titled "The Rickshank Redemption," which was inspired by the movie "The Shawshank Redemption." Episode 2 is titled "Rickmancing the Stone" from the 1984 action film "Romancing the Stone."

Moreover, other "Rick and Morty" episode titles also include "Lawnmower Dog" from the movie "The Lawnmower Man." Another episode title is "Big Trouble in Little Sanchez" inspired from the movie "Big Trouble in Little China." Adult Swim is yet to confirm the release dates of these episodes. Stay tuned for more updates.
