"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" has taken the world by storm, but now fans are looking to the future. What will happen in the film's highly anticipated sequel? There are speculations that the follow-up to the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick will focus on the original Ravagers headed by Sylvester Stallone. Will Stakar Ogord and his company take over in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3"? Watch out, SPOILERS up ahead.

In "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", fans finally got to see Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord. In addition to that, Starhawk's team was introduced as they attended Yondu's funeral. Michelle Yeoh appeared as Aleta Ogord, Ving Rhames was Charlie-27 and Miley Cyrus provided the voice of Mainframe. Michael Rosenbaum was revealed to be Martinex alongside a silent Krugarr. There is little doubt that the original Ravagers are set for bigger things in future MCU movies, especially since this particular line-up were the first Guardians in the comic books. Could this mean that they will eventually take over in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3"?

The possibility of Sylvester Stallone and company getting a film of their own isn't the only thing hinted on in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2". In one of the five post-credits scene, it was also revealed that Ayesha intends to work on yet another perfect being and will name him "Adam" (via YouTube). This immediately had fans excited about the possibility that Adam Warlock will debut in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3".

There is hope that there will be more of Sylvester Stallone's Stakar Ogord and the original Ravagers in the future. In the meantime, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is definitely enjoying a successful weekend. Variety reports that the MCU sequel earned an astounding $140 million across Northern America on its opening day alone.
