‘Sense8’ Season 3 Renewal, Cancellation News: Will Netflix Give The Show Another Year?

Netflix still has not issued an official renewal order for "Sense8" Season 3 despite the fact that the network has already dropped the episodes for Season 2 this May. The Wachowski-produced series remains as one of the most watched shows in the network, but it also stirs up quite a bit of controversy because of some of its scenes.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Clayton admitted that she has no idea whether "Sense8" Season 3 renewal will happen. However, the actress explained that the sci-fi drama was created as a five-season arc when it was pitched to Netflix.

"If ours was written with five, it's insane to imagine the story possibilities that are there if you keep meeting sensates," she explained.

Executive producer Grant Hill also told Entertainment Weekly that they went through a bit of a rush to finish season 2, so they are still taking their time when it comes to thinking about "Sense8" Season 3. Hill shared that they may begin talking about the upcoming season soon to see how things will go from the season 2 finale.

Basing on the Season 2 finale alone will convince a lot of viewers that "Sense8" Season 3 will happen. The series ended with a lot of cliffhangers and posed a lot of questions on the viewers' minds.

Should "Sense8" Season 3 happen, Netflix may officially announce the show's renewal in August since this is the Sensates' birthday. The renewal for season 2 also came during this time so further updates are expected to roll out in the coming months.
