Aidan Turner might be one of the most popular candidates as Daniel Craig's replacement in "James Bond 25" but it looks like the "Poldark" Season 3 star has no interest in becoming the next 007. Turner has spoken up about the speculations that he is being considered to be the next James Bond. In addition to that, the "And Then There Were None" actor revealed why he is still single.

It's no secret that Aidan Turner is one of the top names that has been connected to "James Bond 25" now that it is uncertain whether Daniel Craig will reprise his role as the spy. CeleBeat has previously reported on the "Poldark" Season 3 star allegedly meeting up with Bond producers, which has led to speculations that he is in negotiations to be Craig's replacement. However, Turner has kept quiet about the news for a long time. As it turns out, the man who plays Ross Poldark has good reason to shy away from the 007 casting.

In an interview with Telegraph, Aidan Turner decided to share his thoughts on the possibility that he could be the next James Bond by implying that he isn't. Daniel Craig is still expected to return in "James Bond 25", after all. On the subject of Bond, he simply thinks it’s rude to discuss a role that someone is already signed up for. "Imagine if somebody was talking about a show that I was doing and the possibilities of replacing me," Turner said before adding that it is "slightly unkind and a little disrespectful" to Craig.

It might be difficult to get Aidan Turner to talk about James Bond, but the actor seems more open to discuss the single life. The "Poldark" Season 3 star confirmed that he isn't dating anyone at the moment because of work. "I just find it makes the job a bit difficult, because I want to be able to fool people that I’m somebody else," Turner said.

He might not be replacing Daniel Craig anytime soon but fans can still expect to see Aidan Turner as the dashing Ross this year. "Poldark" Season 3 is expected to premiere on BBC this June.
