ABC's current longest running series "Grey's Anatomy" has been renewed for a fourteenth season and fans are still waiting for any updates regarding the show's premiere, which is expected in the fall of 2017. Season 13 apparently ended with explosives that viewers did not expect as Dr. Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton) set Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital on fire in an attempt to run away from a felon. Season 14 is expected to pick up the cliffhanger where the previous season left off when Dr. Owen Hunt's (Kevin McKidd) sister Megan, who everyone believed was dead, turned out to be alive.

It is said that "Grey's Anatomy" season 14 will pick up where the previous season left off. Although there are no details just yet, fans can't help but speculate what the next installment has to offer. Others wonder if Jerrika Hinton still has a bright future in the upcoming season as she was heavily wounded during the season finale.

It can be recalled in the "Grey's Anatomy" season finale, Stephanie told Dr. Richard Webber (James Pickens, Jr.) that she will quit at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, leaving fans to believe that she may not be reunited with Dr. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams). Hinton also hinted about her fate in the series in a recent interview with TV Line. "I would say, after the way the episode ends, it would be very difficult for Stephanie to practice medicine again in the way that she had become accustomed to," she said. "Personally, I'm just glad she gets to leave having made her mark."

Although, Hinton's fate in "Grey's Anatomy" has yet to be determined, her statement could mean that she is indeed leaving the series. In fact, most fans believe that she is not coming back. There were reports that it could be Jackson and Dr. Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) who will be dating in the upcoming installment.

There is no official release date announcement for "Grey's Anatomy" season 14 just yet but Bustle reports that it will air on its usual time slot every Thursday at 8 PM ET. Fans expect that it will air sometime in September or October. Stay tuned to CeleBeat for more updates.
