"Rick and Morty" season 3 premiered unannounced on April 1 where fans initially thought that it was only part of April Fool's joke. However, it turned to be real and all fans are now dying to know more about the next episode of the critically acclaimed series. There have been reports that the creative team is only waiting for the animation team to finish its work and they'd be ready for the next episode. Details about episode 2 air date have been scarce but it is expected to air sometime in the summer.

Earlier reports from CeleBeat suggest that the episode titles of "Rick and Morty" season 3 are all based from several famous films such as episode 1 titled "The Rickshank Redemption, which was inspired by the film "The Shawshank Redemption." Episode 2 titled "Rickmancing the Stone" is also based from the 1984 film "Romancing the Stone" that stars Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas. Many fans expect that the upcoming episode will feature Rick falling in love with someone during his journey.

There is no specific date that the creators announced for the release of "Rick and Morty" season 3 episode 2 but reports suggest that it should be aired in July. The upcoming episode is expected to bring yet another explosive, which will mainly focus on Rick's journey. He is known for being reluctant when it comes to romance but basing the film, fans are looking forward to see him with someone in the next episode.

Other "Rick and Morty" experts also suggest the "Rickmancing the Stone" sees Morty asking help from Rick in an attempt to save Summer Smith. This may sound familiar to some fans who have watched the movie "Romancing the Stone" as it follows almost the same storyline as well. Because of this, fans can't wait to see the next episode.

Dan Guterman, one of the writers of "Rick and Morty" interestingly said that they will top everything this season. "If you loved that episode, we top it this season, multiple times," he posted on Twitter. "If you hated it, we top it this season, multiple times."
