"Prison Break" Season 5 has just aired quite a satisfying finale on Fox. While the revival was only a limited series run, there were talks of bringing the show back for a sixth season; however, series creator Paul Scheuring said in a recent interview that at the moment, there is "zero percent chance" that season six will happen.

Many fans were satisfied with the recently aired "Prison Break" Season 5 finale. While the finale did not necessarily give Michael and Sara the happily ever after that many fans were looking forward to, it somehow offered some assurance that these two have found their way back into each other's arms.

Co-showrunner Vaun Wilmott told TVLine that "Prison Break" Season 5 was initially crafted for 10 episodes, but they had to cut it to nine, which forced them to make certain changes. One episode would have given viewers the happy ending that Michael and Sara deserve and it would have shown more of Sucre.

This raised speculations that "Prison Break" Season 5 will not be the last. After all, Fox co-chairman Dan Walden earlier shared that they are considering to do more episodes of the show.

However, Entertainment Tonight spoke to series creator Paul Scheuring who said that "Prison Break" Season 6 is unlikely to happen at the moment. Scheuring explained that there has to be a good story for them to create a sixth season of the Fox revival.

"It really has to be high-end and until that story materializes, there's zero percent chance," he shared.

This means that "Prison Break" Season 5 may be the series finale unless Scheuring finds another brilliant way to get Michael and the team back for a season six. Until then, all that Scheuring can say is that something bigger has to come between Michael and Sara for them to be apart.
