NBA 2K14 Server Shutdown Renders Single-Player Game Saves Permanently Unusable

On March 31, 2K Sports deactivated the servers for all editions of NBA 2K14, following which previously created save files in the MyCareer and MyGM modes can no longer pass a built-in server check on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, meaning those files are now simply unusable, and all the single player progress records have effectively been lost.Read more

FBI Airs Public Warning on Pro-ISIS Scripts Exploiting WordPress Vulnerabilities

The FBI in a public service announcement (PSA) released Tuesday is advising people responsible for WordPress websites to be on the lookout for attacks carried out by individuals sympathetic to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Shams terrorist group, which is also known as the Islamic State in the Levant (ISIL), according to Ars Technica. “Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities could result in an attacker gaining unauthorized access, bypassing security restrictions, injecting scripts, and stealing cookies from computer systems or network servers,” the PSA says. “An attacker could install malicious software; manipulate data; or create new accounts with full user privileges for future Web site exploitation.”Read more

ABC has greenlighted a reboot of The Muppet Show, tentatively titled as Muppets 2015, wherein the co-creator of The Big Bang Theory, Bill Prady will be the producing and co-writing the show with Bob Kushell, Entertainment Weekly reports. Kushell is known for his works such as Anger Management, American Dad and The Simpsons.
