Universal Pictures has optioned “Chrononauts,” the time-traveling adventure comic book series just after the release this week of its debut issue by Image Comics. Universal Pictures Ride Along 2, the sequel to last year’s box office hit Ride Along, is scheduled for release on January 15, 2016. Again directed by Tim Story, Ride Along 2 is now in post-production. Will Packer, Matt Alvarez and Larry Brezner and Ice Cube’s Cube Vision produced. The script for the sequel was written by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi. Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ Warcraft, the live-action full-length feature film based on the mythology explored in the popular video game of the same name, is scheduled to be released on March 11, 2016.
