Andy Griffith’s Cause Of Death Revealed: Heart Attack

A heart attack claimed the life of TV Legend, Andy Griffith. According to his death certificate, Griffith, suffered a heart attack 24 hours before he died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, at his North Carolina home. The 86-year-old was also plagued with a slew of other diseases, including coronary artery disease, hypertension and hyperlipidemia, excessive amounts of fat and fatty substances in the blood.

The actor was buried on the grounds of his Roanoke Island home just mere hours after his death. A spokesperson reported to CNN that his funeral service "had been planned for some time."

Griffith was a devout Christian, his faith, guiding him through the difficult moments of life. "I firmly believe that in every situation, no matter how difficult, God extends grace greater than the hardship, and strength and peace of mind that can lead us to a place higher than where we were before," he expressed.

Before making the big leap to Hollywood, he was a choir director at First Baptist Church of Goldsboro, North Carolina. At the ripe age of 69, he released "I Love To Tell The Story - 25 Favorite Hymns."

"Mr. Jesus' let me become a singer again. So that's full circle and I hope those who listen to this record, I Love to Tell the Story, will enjoy it and be blessed by it as much as we who played and sang on it were. Thank you." said Griffith in a press release.

"Andy was a person of incredibly strong Christian faith and was prepared for the day he would be called Home to his Lord," said Griffith's wife, Cindi knight, in a statement after his passing."
