With the MTV Video Music Awards poised to air this Thursday, producers are doing their best to avoid trouble with seating arrangements, but they just might be hoping to stir another kind of trouble - the kind that might turn into ratings gold.

According to E! News, they've gotten a glimpse of the show's seating charts, and it seems Rihanna, Chris Brown and Drake will be seating in close proximity with one another.

Collectively, the trio have reportedly been involved in a love triangle, lyrical as well as physical scuffles - so things can go awry very quickly.

"Rihanna and Brown are both seated in the front row just seven seats apart, " wrote E! News, adding: To Rihanna's other side will be her pal Perry with Drake."

Last June, Brown and Drake were involved in a violent nightclub brawl which left several club-goers injured. Brown sustained a deep gash on his chin, while his bodyguard was hospitalized with serious brain injuries.

Shortly after the incident, Drake released a statement, saying he did  "not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began,"  and that he "did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property."

Brown eventually took the feud one step further by bashing Drake in a diss track entitled "I Don't Like."  "One on one, what you scared bruh? ... Them eyebrows, man, them sh--s is yikes!" and "OVO, you overdose, YOLO no, I live twice!" wrote the embattled rap star.

He also referenced the brawl, "They throwing bottles/ I'm throwing models." He quipped. An unfortunate thing for Brown to say since he was arrested in 2009 for assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna -- leaving the pop star battered and bruised.

Rihanna dated Drake after ending her relationship with Brown in 2009.
