The "firework" songstress found herself on top of the world -- literary.

Katie Perry tweeted a stunning photograph of herself in a serene location -- in which a volcanic scene stood in stark relief against the backdrop and her arms spread out as if she were preparing to soar.

"I ate, I prayed, I climbed a volcano," she wrote.

Early during the week Perry alluded to her tranquil disposition in a series of tweets.

"I can feel the phoenix rising," she wrote September 14. The following morning, she was excited to start the day off on a positive note, writing, "Starting the day with a group meditate #breakfastofchampions.")

"Getting some sh-- out my chakras! #eloquent" she posted last Friday.

We would say Perry's exotic getaway is some sort of quest to self discovery since she was reported to have been heartbroken over her recent breakup with singer, John Mayer - but the pair has allegedly rekindled their romance and are said to be keeping things light, and carefree.

According to the Sun, Perry has already given Mayer a key to her LA property -- so much for keeping things carefree.

"John thinks it is easier to stay in hotels rather than his own LA pad. But Katy insists he should stay with her. She thinks it makes sense," a source revealed.

While the pop star's family is happy she's moving on from ex-husband Russell Brand, they have reportedly begged her to take things slow with Mayer.

Close friends of the couple revealed, they joked about tying the knot in an Elvis chapel on a recent trip to Las Vegas --  but their plans fell through when they became too inebriated to function.

Perry coaxed ex-husband Brand, into filing for divorce because she didn't want to dissapoint her super religious parents.

In a 2011 interview with Vanity Fair, she admitted her parents have, err, evolved, now that she's all grown up."I think sometimes when children grow up, their parents grow up," Perry told the publication of her evangelical-minister parents. "Mine grew up with me. We coexist. I don't try to change them anymore, and I don't think they try to change me. We agree to disagree. They're excited about [my success]. They're happy that things are going well for their three children and that they're not on drugs. Or in prison."
