Oprah Almost Canceled Lindsay Lohan OWN Interview

Oprah has revealed that she almost shut down her Lindsay Lohan interview, The Huffington Post reported Friday.

Oprah interviewed Lohan after she left her sixth stay in rehab. The Queen of daytime television revealed to Access Hollywood that she wanted to make sure the Mean Girls actress was serious about her recovery. Otherwise, she would have canceled the sit down.

"I went to her house just to say, 'What are you doing? Let's get real here.' And... 'This is what's conflicting about it.' Because it's television and we stand to gain if it does well. But the real truth is - and anybody who knows me, certainly my producers on the way there - Sheri Salata was in the car - I said, 'If I get here and Lindsay isn't serious, I will shut this thing down today," Oprah said.

Oprah said she asked Lohan directly if she still wanted to do the interview.

"Do you want to do it? Because if you don't want to do it, that's OK. We could just end it. We don't have to do it," she said.

The interview did proceed as scheduled. Lohan opened up about her multiple stints in rehab and the struggles she has faced in both her personal and professional life. She vowed to turn over a new leaf.
