Brittany Murphy's father believes that the government was responsible for her death, Radar Online reported Wednesday.

Angelo Bertolotti told Fleur De Lis Film Studios that his 32-year-old daughter was targeted because she supported Julia Davis. Davis is a Department of Homeland Security operative who revealed domestic security secrets revolving around the entry of terrotists who were offering bribes. In retatliation, Bertolotti said that  government spies may have been involved in Murphy's 2009 death at the age of 32. Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, died five months later at the age of 40 in May 2010. Bertolotti has alleged that they really died from poisoning and not nautral causes.

"They were, in fact, under surveillance, including helicopters," Bertolotti said. "Their telephones were wiretapped, Brittany was afraid to go home, because of the sneak-and-peek incursions into their residence and other terror tactics she suffered after speaking out in support of Julia Davis and being named as a witness in her lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security."

Davis and Bertolotti are working on various projects that would support their theory of government surveillance and Murphy's death. One of the projects is a book entitled, Britt, and a documentary called The Terror Within.

Monjack's mother, Linda, also claimed that her son suspected he was being spied on before his death. She also shared that Murphy was in fear as well.

"Simon did say he was under surveillance. He was detained by the American government because his passport had run out. He said he was followed and beaten up and he was detained for nine days.

Brittany got him out eventually, but from then on they felt there was a deep conspiracy. There is definitely something here that's not right - but what it is, I don't know," she said.
