Paul Walker, 'Fast and Furious' Star, Dead at 40 in Car Crash

Paul Walker, one of the stars of Fast and Furious, died in a car accident on Saturday, November 30, TMZ reported.

Walker was a passenger in a Porsche in Santa Clarita, CA. The driver lost control of the car and slammed into a tree. The car then exploded. Several sources told the site that both people died. A rep for Walker confirmed the actor's death. He was 40.

News Regency, the studio behind the Fast and the Furious films, took to social media and also confirmed the death.


There was also a message posted to Walker’s Facebook account. It also confirmed the unexpected death of the actor. The statement is below.


“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.
