Julianne Hough New Boyfriend Brooks Laich? Former DWTS Pro Rumored to be Dating NHL Player

Former Dancing With The Stars pro Julianne Hough is moving on from Ryan Seacrest with a new man, Brooks Laich. But who exactly is this new love in her life?

According to a Feb. 17 report by Too Fab, Laich is a hockey player, currently playing for the Washington Capitals. On June 28, 2011, after about eight years with the team, Laich signed a 6-year contract extension worth $27 million.

Judging by his Twitter account, Laich loves to be active, which isn't surprising considering his career, and he appears to be quite the family man, as well, posing with his nieces and nephews in a handful of photos and showing off their artwork on his refrigerator in another. He also enjoys playing golf and strumming on the guitar.

In April 2010, Laich made headlines after stopping to help a stranded motorist and her daughter, after his team had been tossed out of the NHL playoffs due to a loss to the Montreal Canadiens. On the way home, Laich spotted the two women on the Roosevelt Bridge and pulled aside to aid them in changing their flat tire.

Following the incident, Laich was called a "good samaratian" and nominated for the 2010 Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year.

"It was just a tire," Laich later told reporters. "It's not a big deal. It was just a tire. The lady was stranded on the side of the road, I saw that it was just a lady and her daughter, and I figured my tire expertise outweighed hers. It's a busy spot, on that bridge, and I just pulled over to help them. That's it. Just because my day sucked didn't mean that I couldn't help somebody else."

Prior to dating Laich, Hough was in a relationship with American Idol host and E! News corespondent Ryan Seacrest. After three years together, their relationship came to an end in March 2013.
