Adam Brody has confirmed that he and Leighton Meester are married.

The actor replied with a "yes" when he was asked if the reports, which surfaced on Wednesday, that he and Meester are already married, Reveal reported.  The rumors spread after he was seen with a ring on his finger when he went to the gym on Tuesday. Now, he was spotted again with his wedding ring while doing some errands in Los Angeles.

The newlyweds have not been in public since last week as Meester is rehearsing for her new Broadway show Of Mice and Men with James Franco and Chris O'Dowd.

This is the first marriage for both Meester, 27, and Brody, 34. The two went public with their relationship on February 2012. The two worked together in 2011's The Oranges. It was first believed that the two are planning a summer wedding.

"Leighton and Adam are crazy about each other and have talked about getting married eventually," a source said to Star magazine at the time the engagement news broke out. "But she had no idea he would propose so soon! It was the surprise of her life and she's ecstatic!

"Right now their plan is to get married next summer. They are still deciding if they want a destination wedding or if they'll marry in southern California somewhere."

The Gossip Girl alum was previously linked to Sebastian Stan in 2010 and then to Austin Powers actor Aaron Himelstein. She is set to star with James Franco and Chris O'Down on Broadway's Of Mice and Men. Meanwhile, Brody is famous for his role as Seth Cohen on Fox's The O.C. He had been romantically linked to his O.C. co-star Rachel Bilson and 34-year-old director Lorene Scarfaria.
