Kenny Rogers is following in Hugh Jackman's footsteps by promoting skin cancer awareness.

After undergoing a procedure to remove cancerous cells from his face, Rogers, 75, took to social media, where he shared a photo of his post-op look.

Along with the Instagram photo, Rogers joked, "...but you should see the other guy!"

Surgery is nothing new for Rogers. In his book, "Luck or Something Like It: A Memoir," Rogers revealed spoke of his many plastic surgeries, claiming that he doesn't regret going under the knife to evolve his look -- and even stating that he and fellow singer, Dolly Parton, often had a good laugh about it.

Also with his Instagram photo, Rogers recommended his fans and followers have themselves checked for cancer.

"Had a bit of skin cancer removed today — I recommend everyone go get checked, especially since May is National Skin Cancer Detection & Prevention Month," Rogers urged.

Despite his worrisome appearance, Rogers assured fans that he would "look great" during his upcoming concert in Knoxville, Tenn., which is set to take place on May 17 at the Tennessee Theatre. The show is part of the Stars On Stage 2014 Fundraiser Featuring Kenny Rogers: Through The Years World Tour.

Just one week ago, actor Hugh Jackman shared his own experiences with skin cancer, surfacing on Instagram where he, too, shared a photo.

In the caption of the photo, in which he was seen with a bandage on his nose, Jackman wrote, "Another Basel Cell Carsinoma. All out now. Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian. PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!"
